Waypoints

Pilots decide which waypoints from the official list they cross and in which order. Each waypoint counts only once per event. Easily accessible waypoints give a Pilot 1 point, further or more tricky ones 2, 3, 4, or 5 points.

There are 2 camping waypoints, each can be used once. The Pilot must spend a night at the waypoint to score 3 points.

There is a Bivvy Bonus. A Pilot can get 1 bonus point per night for camping in the mountains and another extra point for camping with another pilot. So if a Pilot spends two nights in two different spots alone, they will get 2 extra points. If they spend two nights in two different spots with another pilot or pilots, they will get a 4 point bonus.

The Pilots can stay close by or go for those far waypoints, but they need to be careful, there is a 10 point penalty if they don’t arrive to the finish cylinder (100m radius) before the end of the event!
